Solar Decathlon National Competition

The Department of Energy is sponsoring a "Solar Decathlon" national competition. Students and faculty within UNC Charlotte's College of Arts & Architecture, College of Engineering and College of Business who have been involved in this competition have developed a net-zero energy, solar-powered home called UrbanEden.  This urban house, designed for young professionals or empty-nesters, has a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living areas.  The house is designed for the city of Charlotte.

Charlotte Venture Challenge 2017 Competition Announced

The Charlotte Venture Challenge innovation competition will highlight successful customer discovery by emerging North Carolina startups. The competition, now in its 16th year, will expand to three events held in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
